I too have to put on my daughter's Signing Time dvd to keep her occupied so I don't get shouted at because i am not paying attention to her while I am cleaning up! It is hard since my daughter has some special needs and can't fully sit by herself. So she needs me to get her around or support her! So sometimes I need a little help for a bit and that means putting a dvd on for a bit for some sanity then that is what is happening! Sometimes other things work like toys or her just watching me but not always. I don't think that short occasionaly periods in a day are going to do any harm especially if the child is getting something out of what they are watching. I don't allow my daughter to watch useless cartoons - and frankly she is not interested. In fact, even though she does watch her Signing Time dvds, she primarily continues to enjoy face to face contact! So i don't see it hurting her - she is learning and loving the music. And we continue what she watches face to face!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02532476584291669098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36112928.post-58024289250452689902009-01-14T20:59:00.000-05:002009-01-14T20:59:00.000-05:00I just started letting the TV be on, with only Ses...I just started letting the TV be on, with only Sesame Street or educational videos, around Wyatt at 22 months. (HE is 23 now) He never missed it, and he really pays no attention to it...yet!Ramblings Of A Stay At Home Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02984919412470781108noreply@blogger.com
